New Zealand designer Erika Achilles-Dunseath saw a gap in the Australasian market between high end boutique and streetwear chain stores with feminine styling and a distinctive edge.

So Erika created ANYONE'S DAUGHTER, to offer the intelligent, active and fashion savvy woman clothes to go with her to the office, with the family, on the weekend and out at night, placing a premium on fit and quality, where each piece is effortlessly wearable, directional, relaxed and high quality NZ made.

Femininity with a street wise attitude quickly became ANYONE’S DAUGHTER’s calling card.  It’s the I’m too cool to care (yet somehow I always look fabulous).  A laid back yet luxurious mix of wearable pieces with casual sexiness conveyed in the final details, textural contrasts, uncomplicated layering, combined with a moody palette and reasonable price points.

ANYONE’S DAUGHTER has streetwise quality, a hint of rock'n'roll, a little of the free spirit and always room for your own spin.

Which once began as one of Tauranga’s best kept secrets now has a loyal following of New Zealand locals and customers from beyond. ANYONE'S DAUGHTER is currently available online and through selected boutiques throughout New Zealand, Australia and the USA.  

Erika Achilles-Dunseath conceived it, drives it, designs it and is the creative brain behind New Zealand's much loved fashion brand - ANYONE'S DAUGHTER.

Much is made of Erika's effortless cool, through her scrunched rock'n'roll hair, minimal makeup and comfortable black leather high tops, a little bit NZ beach meets grunge, fitting her Bay of Plenty roots, not always the glam image of fashion industry success.

Yet now over a decade since she launched ANYONE’S DAUGHTER, the artfully undone New Zealander has created a blueprint for label loyalists and chain store copycats alike.

But it wasn't always this way.  There was once a time when clothing racks weren't stretched with smart takes on everyday wardrobe favourites, or with accessible sharp edged fashion with creative cuts named after rock songs and Hollywood movies.

Suddenly, Erika Achilles (a shot-gun marriage later skewed her name).   A teenager with nothing more than a bag of clothes, a pair of scissors, Mum's Bernina and a head full of dreams.

Erika completed the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic Fashion Diploma in 1999 and quickly embraced the fast paced fashion world, landing top positions with some of New Zealand's biggest fashion names such as Annah Stretton and Moochi.

Then seeking flexibility between business and a young family, along with the desire to unleash more personal creativity, Erika decided to jump start her own clothing empire in 2006, creating her own label and retail clothing gallery, Rendezvous, in her coastal home town Tauranga, New Zealand.

After completing a Bachelor of Design (Fashion) with Otago Polytechnic in 2011 Erika’s renamed Rendezvous ANYONE'S DAUGHTER and with a new name a new direction began bringing ANYONE’S DAUGHTER to selected boutiques throughout New Zealand and beyond.

Fast forward to today and Erika's hard work has paid off with a loyal following of locals and customers from beyond.

So there you have it, the ANYONE'S DAUGHTER history.  This is a New Zealand made brand bursting with originality and one to keep a finger on the pulse for!
