DOOKIE by Green Day was one of my first CD’s. It was released in 1994 and I got it for my 13th birthday along with my own boom box style CD player.

I’ll never forget how cool I felt owing that stereo and a CD that said “WARNING: Contains language that may offend.”

I love that my parents encouraged my varied music tastes and to this day I still love warnings of explicit language.
