I’ve always had an issue with the word “success”.
Mainly because success looks different to everyone.
Success for you may be your health, or having healthy kids, a supportive partner, a house in a safe neighborhood.
Success for others may be a regular pay day, earning a bonus or helping others because they have more than enough.
For some success is taking that first step after an injury, making it 24 hours without a cigarette, signing up for the marathon, walking into a gym class, walking out of a toxic relationship…
No matter how you define success, no matter how you slice and dice it, the common denominator is always courage.
You can’t have what you want without being brave enough to get uncomfortable in order to get it.
Happy International Women’s Day.
